Homemade No Salt Season Salt

Make your Own Spices Series is a weekly series here at Frugal Farmhouse. To help you save money I will be sharing homemade spice recipes each Monday. 1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder 1-1/2 teaspoons dry mustard 1-1/4 teaspoons paprika 1-1/2 teaspoons white pepper 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1-1/2 teaspoons onion powder 1 teaspoon celery seed 1 teaspoon dried lemon peel This will yield you about 1/4 of a cup. Whisk all ingredients together. Place in air tight container and refrigerate or away from heat and light. Use within 6 months.

Lipton's Onion Soup Mix

3/4 cup instant minced onion 1/3 cup beef bouillon powder 4 teaspoons onion powder 1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seed 1/4 teaspoon sugar Directions 1. Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container. 2. About 5 tablespoons of mix are equal to 1-1 1⁄4-ounce package. 3. To make onion dip: Mix 5 tablespoons with one pint of sour cream. source**

Homemade Italian Salad Dressing Mix

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon garlic salt 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon white sugar 2 tablespoons dried oregano 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 tablespoon dried parsley 1/4 teaspoon celery salt 2 tablespoons salt Directions 1. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt. Store in a tightly sealed container. 2. To prepare dressing, whisk together 1/4 white vinegar, 2/3 cup canola oil, 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons of the dry mix. - I have no idea where this recipe came from. I printed it off years ago and there is no credit on it. If this is your recipe or you knows who it is PLEASE let me know so I can give you credit!

Homemade Ranch Dressing and Dip

Stay tuned! 1 tsp dried Parsley 3/4 Tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp seasoned salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp onion powder 1/8 tsp dried thyme In a small bowl stir together all the ingredients. Use as a substitute for Ranch Dressing Mix. To make dressing, mix this recipe with 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup buttermilk. For dip, mix this recipe with 1 3/4 cups sour cream and 1/4 cup of buttermilk. Also you can use this in place of a Ranch dressing mix in a recipe.

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Seasoning 2-1/2 tsp. garlic powder 5 tsp. paprika 6 tsp. chili powder 3 tsp. onion powder 4-1/2 tsp. cumin Cayenne pepper powder to taste I use about 1 tbsp per 1 pound of hamburger. We don’t like spicy tacos however, so adjust according to your family’s taste buds.
