Barn wood reindeer

I was  recently invited to an ornament exchange. We were instructed to create 12 of the same ornaments. We then wrapped one of the ornaments and put the other 11 in a box. We passed around the wrapped ornaments and opened them, sort of like a white elephant exchange. That way we all got to oogle and google  each others ornaments.

I made reclaimed barn wood reindeer. I think they turned out super cute. What do you think? Anyone want a tutorial?

Stuffed Peppers

6 green bell peppers
1 tablespoon EVOO
1 onion- diced
1 clove garlic- minced
1 lb hamburger
1 cup cooked rice
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add peppers and pepper tops and cook until tender, 6 to 7 minutes.
  2. Make filling: Warm olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent. Add garlic and continue cooking until just softened. Add beef, salt and pepper and cook. Add tomatoes and rice and cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in 3/4 cup cheese.
  3. Fill peppers with meat mixture. Sprinkle mixture with remaining cheese and top with pepper lid. Bake until cheese is melted and peppers are heated through, about 5 minutes. Serve hot.
