Menu Plan June 20-26



Yes, this is the same menu plan (basically) from last week. I made dinner at home last week, just none of these! haha.. oh how life is funny. I will be more creative next week. I promise.

Monday-Lunch- ham sandwiches
Dinner- Whatever is leftover

Tuesday-Lunch-
Dinner- Roast and potatoes

Wednesday-Lunch- roast sandwiches
Dinner- Pizza

Thursday-Lunch- pizza
Dinner- breakfast

Friday-Lunch- hot dogs
Dinner- chx noodle soup

Saturday-Lunch- chx noodle soup
Dinner- bow tie pasta and sausage

Sunday-Lunch- ravioli and meat sauce
Dinner- tuna melts

  1. This reminds me of how much money I saved when I planned my meals! I also rarely had waste and really made the most of everything but I avoided the drive thru...

    When I have no idea what to cook...I turn to Taco Bell...so horribly bad!

Barn wood reindeer

I was  recently invited to an ornament exchange. We were instructed to create 12 of the same ornaments. We then wrapped one of the ornaments and put the other 11 in a box. We passed around the wrapped ornaments and opened them, sort of like a white elephant exchange. That way we all got to oogle and google  each others ornaments.

I made reclaimed barn wood reindeer. I think they turned out super cute. What do you think? Anyone want a tutorial?




Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Braid

BROCCOLI CHEDDAR CHICKEN BRAID

Ingredients
2 cans Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
2 cups chicken chunks, cooked
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 cups broccoli, frozen, steamed and chopped
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1 egg yolk
fresh rosemary

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, spread both cans of crescents length wise to form a long rectangle.
Press each of the seams to form a single layer of dough.
In a large bowl, combine chicken, cheese, broccoli and mayonnaise
Spread mixture over the center of the croissant dough evenly to create a log.
Using a sharp knife, cut horizontal strips 1 inch apart down each side of the crescent dough.
Fold the dough strips over the top of the chicken mixture, alternating left and right to create a braid.
Brush the top of the braid with a beaten egg yolk and sprinkle fresh rosemary on top.
Bake for 28 – 30 minutes until golden brown.
