BuildASign Review

For a few months I have been playing around with the idea of re-opening my etsy shop. But in doing so I would really want to make a go of it. This meaning, I need inventory, facebook page, business cards, etc. It just seemed like to daunting of a task.
I have been working on my inventory for about a month. I still don't have all of the items made that I would like, but I am working on it. Facebook page is up, needs some updating and to be made puuurty but it is created.
So on to business cards. I had been contacted by BuildASign to review a product of my choice. I jumped at the chance to order some business cards from this very reputable company. I not only wanted a good quality of paper for my business cards, but a customization template that was easy to use. They have it all! With their Business Card Maker I was able to create exactly what I was looking for and with very little effort of time.
They don't just have business cards. They have a banner maker, which would be super fun to use for a family reunion, or even a wedding!
I also love their sign maker. This doesn't have to be business related either. Can you imagine creating a banner and a sign or your garage sale? Then you would be able to keep it for years to come! No more horrible neon posters! I love it!
Check out my awesome cards that I received-I am absolutely in love with these. The paper quality is amazing. Beautiful cards. Did I mention how great this companies customer service is? Simply amazing!!

Barn wood reindeer

I was  recently invited to an ornament exchange. We were instructed to create 12 of the same ornaments. We then wrapped one of the ornaments and put the other 11 in a box. We passed around the wrapped ornaments and opened them, sort of like a white elephant exchange. That way we all got to oogle and google  each others ornaments.

I made reclaimed barn wood reindeer. I think they turned out super cute. What do you think? Anyone want a tutorial?

The winds of Change...

There came a time in our lives when our planning just didn’t make the cut. We recently moved in with family due to Chevy Man injuring his foot. I know a lot of you will understand that when you live paycheck to paycheck there just isn’t enough money to put aside for a rainy day. Now I am learning to pinch my pennies even harder than I did before. Chevy Man was in an accident on September 24th with a friend and injured his foot. The first doctors told us he broke his ankle and put him into a cast and on crutches for 8 weeks, with possible surgery. I was relieved that he wasn’t hurt more than he was, but what were we gonna do for 8 weeks!?!I called my Grandma and asked if it was alright if we stayed with her for a while. We were planning on moving to this area anyways at the end of the year so that just moved us faster and in a little less desirable situation than we would have liked. But I am so very thankful for my family. They are amazing.I packed all of our belongings into a 10x10 s…

[Guest Post] Summertime Blues

Today’s post is a part of the 20 something blogger blog swap. This post is written by Kelly over at Insert Clever Title here. Which by the way, why didn’t I think of that title?! It’s awesome, Kelly! She has a great blog and I am totally hooked. I have been reading it all day. She has a great writing style and outlook on life. I’m very excited to have her as my swap partner. This is the first every guest post here at Frugal Farmhouse, so I’m a little, ok a lot excited! Also when you check out her blog, you get to check out my post on saving money in the summer.

Something about summer has lost a bit of its magic for me. I don't know if it was the summer that I graduated from college, and was suddenly, jarringly thrown into the Real World, or if was something that had been sneaking up on me for years before that.Summer vacation doesn't exist for me anymore. It makes me both sad and, admittedly, a little bitter, to lose that sense of freedom. My reward for making it through all tho…
