I have needed a bulletin board for my office area for months. I stopped at a thrift store and found this one for $1.50.
I took upholstery tacks ($1.39/pack at Joann's. I used 1 pack.) and spread them out evenly along the sides, obviously I am in the middle of this task ha.
I then took the tacks off, stretched burlap around it and took little nails and secured the burlap on the back of the bulletin board. Flipped it over and re-pushed in (is that a word?) my upholstery tacks. Hung it up and LOVE it!
You inspired me to dress mine up. I don't like floral and frills but this is nice.
ReplyDeleteThis looks really cute. I love the look of burlap. Great flea market find!
